Allie’s passion for design began at a young age. She recalls her first memory related to interior design when she was just ten years old, transforming a boathouse at her family cottage in Haliburton, Ontario, into what they called a bunkhouse. From taking measurements to drawing a floor plan and selecting furniture, Allie’s early experiences shaped her path toward becoming a designer. Growing up, she also had the unique opportunity to witness her father, a contractor, renovate their childhood home with stunning attention to detail.

A Journey of Continuous Learning and Growth

Allie initially applied to the university for Visual Arts and Design. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Trent University in Ontario and later pursued Interior Design through the University of Calgary. Her journey as an Interior Designer is a continuous and constant process of creativity and growth, which she finds incredibly exciting. Allie takes pride in her attention to detail and aims to be recognized for her crisp, timeless designs with a hint of edge.

A Creative and Moody Design Style

Allie draws inspiration from pieces of art that captivate her, often making them the focal point of her designs. Her style is moody and leans toward industrial, characterized by stripped-down architectural details such as bare brick walls, the use of metal and wood, exposed beams or pipes, and recycled materials. She balances these elements with masculine furniture featuring bold lines and adds cozy touches through throws, rugs, pillows, and soft textures. Allie thrives in a world of neutrals and believes every room should include at least one live plant to bring the space to life.
